Indicatie
Aanvullend diervoeder voor honden met:
- Recurrente anaalklier-impactie (anal sac disease, ASD)
- Post-expressie of post-abces fase, ter preventie van recidief
- Chronisch zachte ontlasting (Bristol/Purina Fecal Score 5–6) zonder onderliggende enteropathie
- Aanhoudende scooting, perianaal likken of dyschezie na uitsluiting van parasitaire of allergische oorzaken
- Predisponerende rassen (Cavalier, King Charles, Cockapoo, Bichon Frisé) en honden met overgewicht of comorbide atopie
Werkingsprincipe
Combineert drie complementaire werkingsmechanismen in één formule:
- Bulk- en vormverhoging van de feces — bierbostelvezels (insoluble) en psyllium (gel-vormend) verhogen droogstof en stoolvolume, waardoor voldoende intraluminele druk op de ductus van de glandula sinus paranales ontstaat voor fysiologische lediging tijdens defecatie.
- Microbioom- en mucosale ondersteuning — appelpectine en FOS worden in het colon gefermenteerd tot SCFA (acetaat, propionaat, butyraat), voeden de colonocyten en versterken tight junctions; L. helveticus HA-122 (postbioticum) levert celwand-componenten en metabolieten zonder kolonisatierisico.
- Huid- en perianale weefselondersteuning — visolie (EPA/DHA) moduleert COX/LOX-pathways en pruritus; zinkchelaat ondersteunt keratinocyt-migratie en epidermale barrière; cranberry-PAC's remmen bacteriële adhesie aan epitheel; clinoptiloliet adsorbeert NH₃ en luminele toxines.
Hypoallergene basis op insectenmeel (Hermetia illucens) — geschikt voor honden met comorbide voedingsallergie of perianale dermatitis.

Klinische toepassing
- Recurrente impactie / post-expressie: minimaal 8–12 weken voor uitspraak over respons
- Chronisch zachte ontlasting (FS 5–6): 4–8 weken, met klinische herevaluatie
- Onderhoud bij predisponerende rassen / atopische comorbiditeit: continu, naast gewichtsmanagement
VERWACHT EFFECTVerbetering van fecal consistency score doorgaans binnen 2–4 weken; klinische daling van scooting-frequentie en herexpressie-noodzaak typisch zichtbaar na 6–8 weken. Geleidelijke introductie over 5–7 dagen om transiënte flatulentie of zachtere stoel door fermenteerbare vezels te beperken.
CONTRA-INDICATIESAcute impactie met ontsteking of abces vereist eerst manuele evacuatie of chirurgische drainage; suppletie is daar geen vervanging. Niet inzetten bij gekende mechanische obstructie of anaalkliertumor. Voorzichtigheid bij ernstig nierlijden (mineraalbalans) en bij honden met reeds hoge baseline-vezelinname zonder dieetherevaluatie.
